Deanna Pecina, MA, RMHCI, joined New Life 360° in 2024 as a mental health counseling intern and remained after her internship was complete. She began her professional journey in education, spending over 20 years as a teacher, curriculum designer, and instructional coach before moving into the counseling field to support children, adolescents, and families through the process of change and emotional growth. Deanna holds a Bachelor of Arts in English, a Master of Arts in Humanities, a Master of Science in School Administration, and a Master’s of Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Before becoming a therapist, Deanna worked in school settings, supporting students, families, and staff through academic, behavioral, and emotional concerns. As a long-time military spouse and a military brat, she brings a strong understanding of transition, uncertainty, and the stressors that affect family systems. Her work now focuses on children, adolescents, and parents navigating anxiety, adjustment issues, and relational stress. Deanna has extensive experience in child development, family systems, and emotional regulation through her work in education and counseling. She has completed advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Synergetic Play Therapy, EMDR, and mindfulness-based interventions. Deanna is a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern with the state of Florida.
