Seantel McKenzie is a therapist with New Life 360 and a graduate student pursuing a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Criminology from the University of the West Indies and brings experience as a former early childhood educator, which has enriched her understanding of human development and emotional support throughout the lifespan. Seantel primarily utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify, challenge, and reframe unhelpful thought patterns, alongside Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and psychoeducation.
Her passion for counseling is rooted in her own experiences growing up within a cultural context where mental health struggles were often stigmatized despite the significant need for support. Witnessing the impact of these barriers inspired her commitment to helping others access a safe, nonjudgmental space where they can explore their experiences, build resilience, and work toward meaningful change.
Seantel believes that every individual has the capacity for growth, healing, and self-discovery. Her counseling approach emphasizes empathy, collaboration, cultural sensitivity, and empowerment, creating an environment where clients can gain insight, advocate for their needs, and move toward living fulfilling and balanced lives.
